If anyone is watching their blood sugar, their honey needs to have higher levulose content (compared to dextrose content), such as our Gallberry. Tupelo is the king of levulose content, therefore THE most favorable for diabetics for example.

Saw news that 70% of honeybees in the US are at risk this year, I hope we all work to save and protect our bees! They are indispensable and honey is a gift!
We have learned during our nearly 20 years of beekeepers; colony collapse disorder, purple brood, foul brood, varroa mites and whatnot are all not nearly as destructive as habitat loss due to development. I can believe the number you stated because I see rampant pillaging of the wild areas, upon which bees/pollinators/ecosystems rely for survival. If our land was not protected by Forever Wild on one side and National Estuary protection on the other, our bees would be in a terrible fix, and their/our honey would not be unique and flavorful.

I’m so glad to hear your area is not as impacted. Hope better protections can be put in place because they are so integral to healthy ecosystems!
Yes I love to have honey or natural fruit sugars cos the glycemic index is so much less than white sugar so it’s better for skin breakouts! Been a lifelong companion 💖 next best I think is brown sugar as raw as you can get
