Politically, internally, Israel has never had a majority government, and they have serious troubles making coalition governments. People argue for ethnostates, that bringing in outsiders like Muslims into London causes problems and people should remain with their own kind otherwise civility and unity suffer. But the ethnostate of Israel is a shipwreck of a country that was verging on civil war prior to Oct 7, demonstrating that this clearly does not work as so many people imagine. All people are different, even brother against brother, and unity is achieved via statecraft, diplomacy and persuasion, not via ethnicity.
But as a libertarian individualist, I don't believe unity is necessary. I think everybody should be free to sign up for as much or as little government as they want, signing only the contracts that they choose.
