It’s not stupidity necessarily. Some People have massive blind spots due to religious nonsense cluttering up their reasoning abilities.
The rest are stupid or profiting from death and destruction
I’d say that religion is a key source of the current state of things, and it is not a coincidence that Marx and Nietche, the main philosophers behind Marxism and fascism respectively, were both young hegelians… Hegel being possible the most turbo religious person every who saw the state as “the March of god on earth”. Marxism could not have existed without Christianity IMO.
