fact is

it ends up being BTCUSD denominated anyway so I'm not sure what's accomplished except for changing some social unit bias.

I agree, the reason no one prices in Bitcoin yet is because no one -owes- Bitcoin denominated debts yet. Once you see debts denominated in BTC you'll see BTC much more widely used as UoA

then it makes more sense to develop BTC denominated lending *first on the road to UoA adoption 🤔
