There is only #Bitcoin, all others are scams. Sats rule everything around me. Amateur Political Economist and Historian. Semper Vigilans

But why, it's not even down that much lol

My BTC net worth is much higher today, so I locked in those gains. We blasted through our emergency budget and then some to load up more sats in cold storage. Have to admit, I also bought LEAPs in my brokerage on IBIT and yes, more MSTR in my retirement, it's just too oversold now. Let's see what happens.

Probably will go down another 30% lol

Why ๐Ÿฆ€, who is sell

I think given your framework here some of the old cycle metrics like pi tops and 5x 200dma are probably still useful indicators. Would be incredibly disappointing if we topped without any of those heating up even slightly. Either Bitcoin is now boring for good due to Wall Street or the party really hasn't even begun yet.

Either way, all of this steady bullcrabbing for the last two years has led to a pretty good base. I'd be shocked if we ever saw sun $70k Bitcoin again

I absolutely agree with that principle. My point though is seat selection/location doesn't offer any kind of increase or decrease in safety. The difference is so marginal as to be meaningless in this specific case.

Plane crashes are so rare it's not even worth thinking about. I had a psycho boss (for other reasons) who would book out plane tickets in the back based on Lopp's reasoning and it always felt like psychotic behaviour rather than a legit strategy for anything.

The sentiment is correct though. Crashes are such a tail event that worrying about whether your seat number survives is pointless. If crash, then dead is the likeliest outcome for something catastrophic, because it's usually a) all survived or b) all dead. Some survivors is even rarer than the event of a crash in itself.

In other words, what Lopp has pointed out is essentially pointless.

Wut. Airplanes are the safest mode of transport. The difference in survival rate by literal seat number is so small as to be meaningless. The odds you'll be dead and someone else on your plane will live in aggregate across all plane trips you will ever take is so small you're probably more likely to get struck by lightning and live twice over a lifetime.

This is the part of stoicism I wish more people would internalise. Much healthier and freeing.

Too real mate

Perfect engineers and hominem, well done mate ๐Ÿ‘

I feel like I still don't understand nostr lol

Everyone seems to have little verified badges of sorts, is that something I need to set up?

I also still haven't set up a lightning address because Primal seems custodial and my node is broken at the minute so my lightning wallet is offline.

The number of times I have to tell my wife "no, you can't eat that" when she says something looks delicious

And if you do take a phone with you across a border, have an alphanumeric PIN greater than 6 characters to unlock. Swipe and other things are "physical acts" which do not carry the same search and seizure protection as passwords

GM. Are you ready for today to be a great day?

And with Bitcoin, you get to experience the joy of becoming a millionaire multiple times due to volatility lol

I don't think it's necessarily a 100% nefarious agenda, but rather an incurious academic blind spot. The system is evil, but many of the people in the trenches aren't especially

A theory of economics that says private savings are "unused" is like a theory of physics that doesn't include potential energy.
