But why, it's not even down that much lol

My BTC net worth is much higher today, so I locked in those gains. We blasted through our emergency budget and then some to load up more sats in cold storage. Have to admit, I also bought LEAPs in my brokerage on IBIT and yes, more MSTR in my retirement, it's just too oversold now. Let's see what happens.

Probably will go down another 30% lol

In each past cycle the drawdown has been around 65-80%

Personally I don’t believe in “cycles” anymore

Why not

I don’t think what we just had was what I’d consider a bull run. This is likely a red year or flat year for bitcoin.

Sure but look at it on a monthly chart and it was almost identical timewise to all the others. Price was muted but it was muted in 2021 and we considered that a cycle looking back on it.

I'd love for you to be right but I don't see evidence for it right now

past performance is no evidence anyway

Not of future performance but it is evidence of past cycles lol

and you think it says something about the future?

I’m not seeing evidence for the big bear market personally. I think we may be in a new trading paradigm where we get 35-50% corrections and Ath’s every year

I'd love that to be the case. I'm not sold yet. I'm going to stack hard and hodl no matter what.

Side bet for fun? 1M sats cycles remain intact this time and we get greater than -50%.

I tried to understand the halving cycle this time around. The more I looked into it, the more it looked like the cycle works like clockwork. I guess now that the exponential gains are a thing of the past, perhaps the 65% drawdown may also be replaced by a softer landing.
