If you showed 100 Americans a picture of a steak vs a picture of a seed oil-laden protein bar, I’m guessing that at least 80% would choose the protein bar as the healthy option.

Similarly, fried eggs vs a granola bar.

Pseudo-nutrition marketing is extremely powerful and misleading.

Thoughts on saturated fat intake and heart disease Jeff? Conventional wisdom is saturated fat bad, but carnivore advocates say no definitive connection between them.

Villifying saturated fat was just a con by the sugar industry back in the 1960's. It clearly worked, since so many still avoid those foods or eat lower fat versions 60 years later. Real protein is best but imo there are some decent protein powders out there that can help you with protein goals. Or you can just slam Greek yogurts

Prime protein is good. Good mix of whey gelatin and collagen. Ascent is cheap and decent and can get at Costco

Our kids eat fried eggs from ours almost every day. They collect the eggs, so maybe theres more buy in?

Also they will eat ribeye before anything else (even sweets)

Diagnosed and suffered from chronic fatigue for many of my prime years. Such a bloody waste of life. Specialists couldn't work it out, we tried lots of different pills. I religiously ate western medicine healthy, exercised, slept a lot and was always exhausted. Nothing helped. Stumbled across Dave Aspery who was on the fringe at the time. Implemented his bulletproof diet and chronic fatigue gone. It was the food! Fucking furious I was gaslit by 'experts' for years. Graduated to carnivore a decade later. Thank god for Dave and those that came after him.

The protein bar tastes like the sugary cereal they convinced us to eat for breakfast everyday… including in school meals.

Yes, my mother-in-law is trying to be healthier.... her plan, cut out all meat except lean chicken. She eats granola and yogurt for breakfast, lunch is usually a peanut butter sandwich, on wheat thins of course because that is healthy and dinner is chick-fil-a.

She is getting much worse in the memory department.... i showed her multiple studies showing a link between sugar and dementia and overall memory and how it improves in just weeks of a keto diet. You can't show them new information... they refuse to accept it. 🤦‍♂️

I eat bacon and eggs fried in the bacon fat for breakfast. I have chicken or fish and vegetables for lunch. I have something like that for dinner. I am healthy. The food pyramid nonsense says I'm not.

I'll have the steak thank you. Preferably the one NOT grainfed and NOT injected with antibiotics or other sneaky things to taint the meat. May be one from an Amish background, simply because the government couldn't close them down.
