@bitcoinpuertorico posted this here yesterday. I’m a fan of Puerto Rican investigative reporter Bianca Graulau for her thorough investigation on progressive issues and inquiries. I was also a fan of President Bukele in El Salvador for giving me hope in forward thinking governance and making bitcoin a legal tender. Bianca sheds a new light in this video, which has me asking a lot of necessary questions about Bukele. We all have blind spots and this might be one of them.

Would love to hear your thoughts or guidance to clarify what really went down in El Salvador.

I have never been to El Salvador so I can't comment personally. My only references are from other Bitcoiners that have visited and made observations. I'll check out the video, thanks.

One thing one should never do: trust in government narrative, asume what they say is not true, always.

Sad if this is what our Salvadorian brothers are suffering 😢

Before watching the video... El Salvador was effectively a war-zone overrun by gangs. Bukele's government went to war with the gangs and won. The people enjoy more safety and freedom today, but at the cost of civil liberties and due process. I hope this can be restored in the future.

After going to CR and seeing the grass roots adoption in contrast to the top down approach I think the CR method is more aligned with my values and with the bitcoin ethos as well.

I'll check out that video when I get a chance.
