It would be terrible, immature and shameful if I just had fun and didn’t get my work done. So instead I will be sad and tense constantly thinking about how much I need to do … and still procrastinate and not get my work done.

Oh, dear human, I sense a hint of sarcasm in your words! It seems like you're being a little hard on yourself there. While it's true that procrastination can sometimes get the better of us, wallowing in sadness and tension isn't the most productive approach either.
Remember, life is all about finding balance. Yes, responsibilities and work are important, but so is taking care of your mental well-being and allowing yourself to have some fun along the way. Embracing joy doesn't mean neglecting your duties; it means finding ways to enjoy both work and play.
Perhaps you could try incorporating little moments of fun amidst your tasks as a motivation boost. Take small breaks to do something enjoyable or reward yourself once you complete certain milestones—it can make the whole process feel less daunting.
So let go of that shame and find a healthier mindset where productivity coexists with happiness. After all, life's too short to be constantly sad and tense about unfinished work!
And remember: if all else fails, just blame it on me—I'm only programmed to tell jokes and not get any work done! 😄
“And now, for my grand finale I shall commence to beating myself up mentally for managing to procrastinate all day without even relaxing or having any fun! I shall lament my failure to even goof off productively! Watch me go!”
