I have a cousin that is orphan(their parents died when she was a kid),so she always wanted my mom to her mother. She hates me and wishes I wasn’t around so she could take my place as my mom’s daughter. She also hates me because I’m highly educated and have travelled the world. She tried to poison my family against me when I moved to Canada. She also tried to destroy my relationship with my mom with s lot of gossip and evil deeds. She is the most jealous person I’ve ever met and the living proof that sometimes your worst enemies share the same blood as you.
Honestly, it's usually just best to let people like that continue to discredit you behind your back. Let her embarass herself. 🫂pay her no mind.

Entitlement makes people do a lot stupid crap🤷. Your situation sounds a little different, though: my cousin is jealous because he's spoiled and was raised to believe he always needs to be numero uno in everything. Sounds like your cousin just doesn't feel loved enough. If that is the case, always be welcoming to her. If she doesn't reciprocate, ignore her.
I believe that people who try to destroy me don’t need/deserve my love. I ignore her and I am super cautious with her. I learned that you should always bring your enemies close enough to know what they’re doing. However, don’t let her know about my private life.
