The reason for life is to further advance entropy in the universe. Life is good at finding resources and difussing them.

The purpose of life for humans is to follow what makes us happy the best we can. Being a good person, keeping your word, not aggressing against others is a good way to follow a path with a lot of happiness. Many religions and philosophies are about how to live a life filled with fulfilment and happiness.

For many people, getting married, having children and prolonging the human species makes them very happy and fulfilled. It also advances the reason for life in the first place which is more entropy.

I don't know if anyone can really express a "meaning of life" .. most explanations of meaning just sound like a "utility of life" .. 🤔 ..

I believe that the meaning of life cannot be quantified, measured or truly understood. Therefore finding meaning in life may be better described as moving into an emotional state where we find comfort in and that we can latch onto for a moment or until we die.

Some people are unable to find comfort or an emotional state that they find acceptable and hence leave life behind, but it does not signify that it is impossible, only that they have not continued their journey.

Some people are scared of the unknowable because of its darkness and hence try to replace it with something knowable.

Some people dedicate their life to make the realm of the unknowable understandable to themselves and to others. They can never finish this endeavour, even if they had 100 lifetimes, and very discovery leads to another mystery.
