Nostr is a pretty big tent, and many people are snowflakes.
When I think about some of the posters here I'm not surprised at all.
I'm sure your free speech advocacy deeply offended @Hindu, to cite one example.
There is a chance that whoever wants the leader dead, is afraid of the common people who like him and this could be a good indicator. Yet overall this indicator had been ruined since antiquity by Αγαθοκλής (Agathocles) who was walking without protection in Syracuse despite the fact that he was a total scum, one of the worst ever...
True, that.
Agathocles was also a major-league badass in his own right, and a man with absolutely no fear. He took his city to war with Carthago's Punic Federation and forced a draw.
I'm guessing some of his people thought about killing that maniac - and noped out.
Or they died trying and nobody dared speak of them again.
Of course some people thought of killing him, no doubt. Yet he walked without protection.
There is also the example of Dracula. He left a golden cup for days in the middle of a village unattended, to see if someone would steal it. Turned out that didn't matter how small the possibility to get caught was. Getting impaled was not a chance to play with...

And in both of those cases the leaders were military men who had repeatedly saved their countries by defeating enemies many times more powerful than their homelands.
Even if you go up against the bad boss and win, what happens next? Will anyone thank you? Can you really fill those oversized blood-spattered boots?
I think power and authority hungry people are those who make these killings (maybe in general too).

Well, I've been muted by some guys whose pictures or offers I wasn't adequately appreciative of.
I find that ironic. Are they afraid that I'm going to send the same sort of thing back? 😂 Is it their silent protest at perceived mistreatment? Are they crossing me off of a list?
