It's all in the post to reply ratio. There are exceptions but generally my best interactions on nostr are with folks that have at least equal post to reply ratio 🤙
I literally had a note I chose not to send out other day about exactly that, ha! Worded a bit more snarky, which is probably why it was a good call to not send it.

My point is, this is a trending post on one of nostr's main clients, doesn't seem correct.

Primal's trending sidebar is a sort of glimpse into a nostr catered to bitcointwitter expats. No idea if it is applicable for this scenario or not. But generally it seems geared towards that kind of user being put back in touch with their influencers. A lot of people find this totally useless, but there must an audience for this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, I digress - content discovery has been flagged as an issue many time. I think it's a known issue. I have high hopes that it'll improve in the coming year or so in the major clients.
Sure, that's the upside. However someone not coming from bitcointwitter will probably see the sidebar and think, yeah this is just Bitcointwitter2.
I'm not sure clients imagine such a user tho, which is my main issue, and it's a feedback loop.

Hey look, I really do apologize for singling out your post and making it overly personal. I regret that. It's not my style and its not what I'm on nostr to do. I'm not some angry dude in his mom's basement.
I just get frustrated seeing bad algos and engagement farming, and it's rife on nostr. It's seems that's maybe not what you're doing. It just highlights that the Primal trending is easily gamed and we need better DVMs to serve up trending posts with real 2 way human engagement.
I want to see nostr succeed. Everyone is here for their own reason, I stayed because people actually answer back.
Anyway, I'll try to be classier with my approach next time (and Happy Birthday). 🙏
Yeah I get it, I do suck on nostr. I’m not trying to engagement farm, I just have dumps of posts because I do want to use nostr often but it takes forever with the videos/fotos (which is my preferred use for all this since I’m a visual person) But I’m still trying to adapt/ make it more of a priority.
Then don’t use a Nostr client that has algos 🤷♂️ you have plenty of options.
