Zeus v0.8 makes it easy. The node lives on your phone in your pocket and our LSP Olympus helps you get connected to Lightning so you don’t have to worry about channels.
It is only difficult if you want to run a profitable routing node now, while there are very few nodes, and because of that you need to research what nodes to open channels with to even be able to easily transact. In the future, when everybody has a node, it will be straight forward: you will only open channels with (add as contacts) your friends, most visited shops, and whoever you get your income from. It will be natural and it will be all that is needed.
When the first internet bank named Revolut appeared here, I thought parents (elderly), workers, and children will never understand it. Now they all use it with no questions asked.
Imagine a person who watches some youtube videos about bitcoiners travelers in El Salvador (ofcourse, under grave threats from me, because else they "have no time" due to solving problems that they create themselves), and after watching is not interested to even check bitcoin and lightning out himself. And when again forced to check them anyway, still is not fascinated and not interested.
Do we really want these people? I am sometimes afraid that they will manage to break it if they get onboard :). They are like walking troubles, they ruin everything they touch.
