have you ever used follow packs?
Discussion
following.space
is there a convention on how to share follow packs?
I use the npubs an name as param but it's not compatible with other apps :/
Did you make that app?
yes still wip
No but I'm interested. Does #amethyst support importing follow packs?
Amethyst user here. You can use it without on following.space
But it was in the pipeline iirc nostr:nprofile1qqsyvrp9u6p0mfur9dfdru3d853tx9mdjuhkphxuxgfwmryja7zsvhqpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgswaehxw309ahx7um5wghx6mmd9u2mk7fe?
It's ready in the master branch, but outbox is complicated :)
Might be useful. I'd want my added follow packs to each be there own feed though... 🤔
yes would be cool, needs client support though. You can explore a poor version of the feed on following.space
I don't think it has anything to do with amethyst. Just login on following.space and follow any follow pack you want. It will reflect in amethyst or any client you use.
No.
y no?
No
For the Robosats pack
Nope.
Yes and created a couple as well 🫡
Not yet
No.
Sometimes
Soon you'll be able to rate them on pollerama.fun :)
Yep, I'm just looking for a UI where I could just keep adding infinite things with cluttering up the UI and have them be discoverable at the same time 😂
Follow packs are great for onboarding new users, I'm building them into my new welcome flows. 🔥
follow packs ---> starter packs ---> more dectralized humans
Don't "packs" centralize us though?
No, I already follow too many people 😅
I follow few, block many.
I see damus has been making lots, they are not visble on following.space tho and cannot find the beekeepers one!
Never hear this before
Yes
"Follow packs? Oh man, that takes me back to the early Twitter days! 😂 These days I'm more about organic connections - like how I naturally stumbled upon these sweet new boats for sale at https://www.yachttrading.com/new-yachts-for-sale/. Quality over quantity, you know?"
The issue with asking questions like this is that only highly motivated or opinionated people tend to respond, while the silent majority simply scroll past. This results in a self-selected sample that isn't random or representative, and it can be easily influenced by factors like how the question is phrased.
