It’s not easy but it’s the best thing I can imagine
It really isn't easy 😂🫂, any lessons learned you want to share
😅 every day there is something
you know this I’m sure, but I think the thing that helps me the most is, if I have a moment downtime, I take it seriously and make sure I’m recharging ‘cause the kid has ten times the energy and will use it all
5yo is such a sweet age and also super attention consuming; mine’s 8yo now, has interests that occupy her and it’s a lot easier in a lot of ways, but social dynamics with friends are a bigger thing and that’s sometimes challenging. plus she’s dyslexic and honestly it’s awesome for creativity and fun, but makes us have to track her teachers a lot more closely. anyway, every age has its things as you’ve seen, but it doesn’t stop. that’s why I think the best thing is to do your practice, whatever it may be, to rejuvenate whenever possible. it won’t be wasted!
you’ll be great because clearly you care
back at ya, any revelations are always welcome
Thank you. Nice to look into the future a little bit and start to think about social dynamics. We're not there yet.
Also love the recharge comment. Like you said, 5 yos demand so much attention. It can be exhausting.
I'm reading a book called captivating to learn more about women. I understand my son. I get how he's wired and feel like being a good dad to him comes easy.
Being a good dad to my daughter is taking a lot of learning and work haha.
I’m going to look that book up, thanks!
