I get your point, and I agree that Bitcoin has clearly set itself apart. But scams like $TRUMP aren’t harmless—they damage adoption. When people fall for these schemes and lose money, it creates distrust that can push them away from exploring serious alternatives like Bitcoin.
Adoption thrives on education and trust, not distractions like this.
I think for most market participants, getting rekt on trump coin will be a more valuable bit of education than listening to Bitcoin podcasts or whatever.

It’s awesome how #bitcoin price has sustained around 105k while liquidity is flowing into Trump coin. That means it’s mostly a shitcoin rotation and that people aren’t selling bitcoin for trump coin. We all get Bitcoin at the price and time we deserve

It was a shipcoin that led me to bitcoin. My first exposure to cryptocurrency was XLM via a series of air drops in the Keybase app. It didn’t take long for the value to be lost. That and other experiences with shipcoins brought me to learn about money in general and bitcoin specifically. I’ve been a bitcoin maxi ever since.

One glaring issue I have against shitcoins is how predatory they are to the uninformed. Quite a few boomers probably just lost a significant portion of their wealth/retirement to the negligence of President Trump pushing $TRUMP.
