AEC Matador, these things were produced from 1938 to 1958, they were originally made for military use and designed to tow

artillery and howitzers in WW2. 7.5l 6 cylinder diesel.

Looks like this one was owned by D.Blakemore & Sons, a sheet metal manufacturer based in Coventry. Companies House shows records for the company dating 1916 - (dissolved) 2021, the National Archives 1893 - 1985 but there's an advert in the Coventry Chamber of Commerce yearbook which shows the company was established in 1870.

Turns out I was on private property when I snapped this 😂
