I think the spirit of the message you quoted is the right way, to stay in the middle and avoid extremism.
For example, vaccines work, there's no doubt about it, but we need to keep our eyes open because it may not be the case for everyone, or we need to evaluate if they were put on the market too quickly for economic interests.
The climate has always changed since the times of the ice ages, what we need to understand is how much the current changes depend on human actions or nature. We talk too much about climate change and too little about pollution caused by a crazy economic system that aims to produce more and more things that last less and less.
