They’re a combo of blue-haired Uni students who are easily manipulated and naive Boomers who are projecting their fears of their own mortality on to the world.
Very few 25-50 year olds with a job or business and children run in these circles. They’re all far more concerned with economic issues effecting their kids than they are the weather gods.
The “think of the children” plea is such a facade.
Their beliefs are deeply anti-human.
I'm some instances, overtly anti-human.
It's a death cult that believes it is preserving life by allowing centralised authorities to arbitrarily place limits on life.
Carbon=life
A license to control carbon is a license to control life.
Not only that , but they always bark on about privilege, but they will happily advocate for third world countries to be locked into poverty by strangling their access to cheap and abundant energy , which is the determining factor in whether or not 2nd and 3rd world countries have chance of improving their economic circumstances.
Basically pulling the ladder up on developing nations after years and years of enjoying cheap and abundant fuel.
Its fucking cruel.
