Something just struck me about the Apple Vision Pro. Since it pipes through the actual environment you are in, menus, screens, objects, etc are displayed in the area itself... meaning you can get up and walk around them, or look closer at the buttons, etc. That's actually kinda fascinating to think about.

Was breaking out my Oculus Quest for the first time in months a couple days ago and it got me thinking about the differences.

How’s the vision correction going to be, is what I wonder. Asks the guy who needs unusual glasses.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Quest 3 compares at 1/7 the price.

I don't think it really matters though, because it's AR vs VR. That's kinda what I was getting at in the note above. It's a lot more different than it seems at first.

AR has always been more promising than VR in my opinion

Maybe you can #zap with #damus at the Vision pro? nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s

I plan on getting one to make damus compatible with it 😅

Haha, Nostr on the Vision Pro

The only thing missing is... the Vision Pro 🤭

#Zaps with a wink 😉 THATS a real #zapathon 🔥

then once we have a bluesky-nostr bridge you can shoot skeets straight into our eyes

The biggest difference is that the Apple Vision is all day perma wear

Always ON tech

Don't think I could manage that huge thing on my face all day, lol. But I could get a couple hours of work done with a set of huge screens. Especially if I'm editing on my computer. That would actually be awesome.

Massive Screens aka Flea vision

Yup far more appealing

I’m looking forwards to a 3ft x 4ft curved screen

Like a Cine2000 from the 80’s 👌
