Walking sticks are so fun to watch. The kid found a teeny one once, maybe an inch long.
They’re really cool. We sometimes get little invasions around the house and I take them to local green area and release.
I don't mind them, I try to relocate them if they're where the dog might try to play with them. We'll get the big fat ones that have pretty colors on their bellies. I'll have to try and snag a pic when they start coming out.
Same thing here. I like them but dogs!
Ours tries to play with crickets but they never survive 😂. Although she's figured out she has to gently grab them with her teeth.
Same. Cricket lifespan definitely reduces with proximity to our house. Thing is, in Costa Rica we have to try to train them hard not to investigate things too much. I kinda think it works. Came back once and found a very defensive and angry looking scorpion in the middle of the living room. Both dogs watching it from a few feet away and not interacting.
