Senator Whitehouse today, during the hearing with Yellen, suggested that those who spark fears of a bank run ("yelling fire in a crowded theater" as he put it) should be punished. In other words, if you see a small flame and some smoke, you should just be quite. How about not having such a fragile system that's likely to cause a systemic risk every time someone loses confidence and chooses to leave. 🙄
