As long as the state continues to give them free stuff for minimal or no effort, people will always be pro-centralization concerning certain aspects of everyday life. Let me ask you this: Do you, honestly, see a bright future for nostr, even after observing that 99% seems to be dedicated to social media usage? It seems like a potentially long-term waste of potential for the protocol as a whole.

I honestly don't know enough about the protocol to comment on this. I mostly use it the same as I'd use Xitter at this point. Seems there is a lot of potential for other uses and we're just in the infancy of uptake.

Never used Twitter. Based off of all the stories I've heard, it sounded like a net negative experience. I do hope you're correct about nostr still being in it's infancy stage. Although, I truly don't believe that nostr has proved social media can stray away from being a net negative for the majority of it's users.
