#[2] is quite good for that also because there is even less need for trust

Yeah, I maybe will build one, but I don't like the idea that I need to protect a QR code.
What do you mean by protecting a qr code ? (Genuinely i don’t know!)
The seedsigner at every restart you need to scan the seeds (QR code) to be able to sign a transaction. The seeds (QR code) is solely your responsibility how do you protect it. I would like to somehow encrypt the seeds with a password to be minimally protected if anyone finds it.
You can also input the words (even though it is longer)
"I would like to somehow encrypt the seeds with a password to be minimally protected if anyone finds it."
that makes it a trezor :-D
a good passphrase seems to be the most important security feature for all cold storage wallets. and, indeed, having a good passphrase will protect it quite well.
