i have just witnessed that there is users who are deliberately putting timestamps in the future on nostr events, causing them to be sticky until another event with a higher timestamp appears.

sooo... i'm writing a feed display at the moment, and i'm adding a "first loaded" timestamp which will become the sort order for the data. fuck those people.

Got an example

i'm building the feed viewer still... as i was implementing the refresh function there was posts sticking to the top because they were sorted by timestamp in the future, like 5 minutes or so, and some of thenpubs that posted them did it several times in a short space of time.

these are the relays it was configured to read from:

'wss://relay.nostr.band',

'wss://nos.lol',

'wss://relay.nostr.net',

'wss://relay.damus.io',

'wss://relay.minibits.cash',

I’ve noticed I’ve been getting a bunch of follow notifications by the same account. Undoubtedly some fuckery going on there, too.

i would unfollow and mute these users.

you don't get to be part of civil society without manners

You can schedule posts?

no, it's asshats who are trying to get their events to stick to the top of the feed

hell, i'd almost want to even add to a client so that if an event has a timestamp in the future it doesn't show it until the future ;)

Makes sense actually
