Where I live the winters are usually pretty mild compared to places like the midwest.

The crazy swings in sunlight take some getting used to, but I think the summer is harder than the winter. (it's now 10:45pm and the sun is just starting to set)

Wow I wouldn’t expect that the winter would be milder! That’s a looooong day though. I take it the day is much shorter in the winter as well?

yeah, mid december it's sunrise at 10am and sunset an 3:45pm

I’ve grilled salmon in Alaska. Single handedly the best way and most delicious way to cook fresh salmon. Little bit of maple syrup on top seals the deal.
