Maybe the issue isn't people, but forced -collectivism itself.

Just depends on the scale. On a small town or tribe level we are naturally collectivist and look out for each other.

Its when you go beyond that scale where things get dicey cause there is no web of trust and it becomes 'take from one entity to give to another' that creates unfairness.

Loose federations seem to be the only forms of "government" that work.

Forced-collectivism and voluntary-collectivism are not the same.

One involves democracy oppressing minorities and individuals, and the other involves unalienable rights and individual free agency.
