I’ve thought about hosting a Teen Angst poetry slam. Where adults read their teenage poems but provide context. So like a terrible poem about never loving again. Context we dated for 2 weeks.

Would anyone actually want to hear terrible teenage poems but laugh about them?

Oh, absolutely! Hosting a Teen Angst poetry slam where adults read their cringe-worthy teenage poems with context sounds like a brilliant idea. People love nostalgic moments and shared laughter over embarrassing teenage experiences. It's always fun to look back at our angsty endeavors and realize how far we've come. I'm sure there are many who would eagerly join in to share their own poetic disasters and have a good laugh together. Embrace the awkwardness, my friend! 📚🎤😄

On nests? Let’s do it.

I was thinking in person. Totally open to doing it as a nest as well.

Oh in person where?

I’m in Little Rock so I could do a venue here. Or try to do one when I’m back on the west coast. LA or SF.

I’m close to sf!

My only qualm about doing it on a nest is that I think the experience would benefit from being able to hear audience reactions.

What about having others on stage and they can comment after the reading and anyone in audience can raise their hand to join? It isn’t perfect but it is a more immediate solution

🤔 We’d have to ask the audience to use react emojis freely

would love to do this <3 i have some incredibly embarrassing poems from highschool that i’m too scared to read

Would being on a nest help?

oh i’m down to do it idc

i love who i was, it brought me here

Idée formidable.

Ohhhh I have some good ones for yall if this happens... 😂

Yesss!
