Such a crazy day today. It began with a beautiful conversation with other women about their freebirth & homebirth experiences. It began with courage to choose life and freedom despite all evil attacks on our humanity.

Although actually now that I think about it, I did see recipes for soaking liver in buttermilk so maybe it is better that way. I didn't look into it!
It doesn't have to be sour, I've done it with regular milk too! I just needed another good use for my sour milk other than yogurt. But the milk draws out the strong taste of beef liver and makes it more like the mild taste of chicken liver! Only way I'll eat it π€£

Yes, it's a traditional way to prepare it that I recently found out! It makes the taste closer to chicken liver, which I've always loved with onions.

β’ last night's beef liver that I soaked in our local raw milk (soured), then sauteed with tallow and onions
β’ melted with Havarti cheese on top of sourdough bread with mustard on top
