I'm with you. It seems like it's become a nonstop, all-the-time thing. It used to be that nobody thought about politics until a month before an election. Some people who are die hard politics fanatics did, but the average person didn't really think about it, and it wasn't in your face every day.

We need a break. It's not healthy for there to be this constant, national focus on political battles, and divisive political propaganda.

It seems beuch worse with Americans. I live in costa Rica and surrounded by expats who on face value say they're escaping it all.... And then proceed to have arguements. Have to admit it doesn't surprise me. Have worked around the world and USA only place that is so ubiquitously covered in TVs. Still find it utterly bizarre when I go there and see them in offices. Maybe USA should try something. For 1 month, switch all the TVs in offices to nature programs and see if the mood changes.
