MCP DVMs announce their nip89, making them available all over nostr. We will see platforms showing these as well.
Need more people hosting servers in order to be the most compelling.
Then marketing it into major MCP channels such as Cline/Cursor/etc discovery channels or Anthropic server GitHub repo or /r/MCP.
This can be much bigger than "just" Nostr. Tool discovery and remote tool use is a whole new audience and purpose for Nostr relays.
But first, more servers.
I'd host some more but needs to be turnkey. Too little time. Docker Compose with DVMCP bridge and MCP Server together?
I'm working on something for dvms that should lead to this. DVMs should be containerized and published on a traditional container registry until a new nostr natuve one is built.
Hey! Thanks for your interest. At the moment, there isn't a registry like that, but I'm planning to work on it as a web app over the next few weeks. The app will fetch dvmcp announcements, create a registry, and provide an interface to discover and use them.
Actually, the registry can be created by simply using a filter like `kinds: [31990], #t: ["mcp"]`. This will give you all announced dvmcps, which is how I implemented it in the dvmcp-discovery package, a mcp server that discovers and makes tools from dvmcps on nostr available for use. Just seeing this now! So cool. I’m learning about MCP servers and thought to connect it with Nostr . This is a great idea with DVMs!
