Well... akshually we have something called an electoral college here, so technically, my vote has no effect on elections.

California, for example, voted for Kamala in the presidential election, and I dont think its due to a lack of understanding foreign politics. Instead, I think majority of voters in the state identify with the socialist/fascist positions of Europe.

Obviously, they've been sold a bill of goods, but that's beside my point

My point is that the voters (me) is given 2 choices. With zero knowledge of foreign politics, the better of the two choices seemed clear. With even a narrow understanding of foreign politics, the waters seem to get murky.

Most politics are propaganda. Hard to read through and easy to get caught up in.

I prefer using my gut for my elections. Even if my vote doesn't count.
