So has anyone else using minibits' mint have their ecash disappear while sending? I created a token, sent to my keychat wallet, and it says it's already spent. How? 🤷🏾♂️
Discussion
It sounds like normal ops.
When pasting it in keychat, it redeems and re-issues, to avoid double spend, I think.
So they are *spent* from your sending wallet, and *ecash* in your keychat wallet.
Check the transaction history on your Keychat wallet page to see if the payment was received successfully. I just downloaded the Minibits wallet, minted some coins, and sent them to the Keychat wallet. The Keychat wallet received them successfully.
I figured out what went wrong. If you double-click the receive button too quickly, you’ll get a “token spent” error. The first click already successfully received the tokens, and the second click tries to receive them again.
We’ll tweak it to avoid this issue.
Keychat doesn't show anything. It never received anything. I'll just chalk it up as an $8 loss, and lesson.. 🤷🏾♂️
I've lost money before, messing with ecash. I'll just stick with lightning. I appreciate your help, though.
Sorry. Does the transaction also show as completed on the Minibits wallet transaction history page?
It just shows it as "sent".
Like this?

One more question — does your Keychat wallet page currently show the Minibits mint?

Yeppers 👍🏾
Not totally sure what went wrong. I gave it a try after seeing your note — sent from Minibits to Keychat and it went through without issues. I recorded a quick screen video — maybe compare it with what you ran into and see if there’s any difference.

Yeah, Idk know what happened either. I copied the token from minibits. Pasted into keychat. Then immediately it said that it was already spent. 🤷🏾♂️
My brother had his ecash disappear from his wallet, but think that was a bug, or something. It made him go back to fiat, lol. I could NEVER! 😂🤣
I've had other small amounts disappear, while using other ecash apps that were connected to the minibits mint. This last time was the largest, and I think I'm done messing with ecash. It has potential but it's not for me. I'll just stick with bitcoin on/off chain.
