I care only because this specific company as an owner that is saying more people should transact with bitcoin or else it will fail.

Haven’t heard him say that and don’t agree with it even if he did.

Not transacting in btc for a hardware wallet will not cause the network to fail. That’s asanine.

He made a business decision.
