Last night had a relatively small turnout of trick or treaters.

I missed a doorbell ring (volume low to avoid freaking out doggo) for two ladies.

4 uncostumed teenage boys (about 13-15 in age) showed up later and got candy boxes.

Ouch. I had 253 kids come by.

wow. Most Ive ever had here in years past was 62!

It's always insane here in my neighborhood. You can't drive on the streets.

๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€ thats an army lol

It's way too much to be honest. I don't like it. Spending $100 on candy is too much.

We had a humble 5 count nuggets (kiddos) , now time to eat all the leftover candy ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

I love that.

Im kind of a sucker when it comes to that though.

Same, we had a total of 11, 3 were family members, and two groups of 4 children each. But we had rain most of the evening so we didnโ€™t expect many visitors.

I give out full size candy bars when thats the case. Or hand fulls of good shit that my son surrendered.

We have a guy who owns a donut shop and gives away donuts. Youโ€™d be amazed at how many people go to his house for that.

He used to give away full sized candy bars when he had a convenience store. You see the correlation right?! Heโ€™s turning over his inventory. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Ive been doing consulting work for a few years now and I have the perspective of having spent the last 4 halloweens in different areas of Colorado.

I think the older neighborhoods that do have younger kids/new homes just travel to the newer neighborhoods where all the kids go.

Also, my youngest is 13 and he wanted to be driven to a specific neighborhood.

-Anyway, id just opt out next year if thats the case. Maybe have a few things on hand just in case, but thieving teens? Pass.

Populations are aging and people are having less kids so if youโ€™re already seeing a decline in your area it may just keep going in that direction.
