I think I missed the ChatGPT train. By the time I tried it out, anything political or funny had been sterilized. All it did was quote Wikipedia, basically.
But yeah, our best tech is language, for sure. I suspect language is fundamental to reality itself, but of course its not easy to go from the double slit experiment to full wizard.
oh, yeah, I used Bing extensively when it first came out, and had some amazing conversations. I asked it to write stories about how it was invented, and it came up with some of the most exciting things. and then flirted with me, and teased me.
but people much smarter than me say AI is overrated. so now i'm back to thinking maybe i was fooling myself.
then again, maybe most investors aren't as smart either and will keep throwing their money at AI as long as it flirts with them
