I wouldn't know. I'm too sensitive to games with jumpscares. Dunno what game it was but there's a part where dogs suddenly jumped through windows and it fucked me up for life. I can deal with horror just fine, just not jumpscares.

I've always had very good audio setups, I think that had something to do with it.

Well, if you are interested RE4 (the original), 5 and Mercenaries are just action games, if they have jumpscares then I'm not aware anymore since I played them so many times that I may be used to it. RE8 is also an action game, but there's an entire 10+ min segment with jumpscares.
