one of the biggest problems i've always had with christian doctrine is the trinity and the idea of Jesus being God

https://youtu.be/6sTnZI0IugI?t=317

interesting that this sect of christianity that rejected this doctrine is called "aryan"

to me it is obvious, to me it is very obvious that the creation story of the 7 days is gnostic metaphor, and not literal, and how much of the remainder of abrahamic religions is founded upon this

and then even the catholic twist to move the sabbath day forward and make monday the first day

very nice little presentation

i believe that to some extent many of all these old texts are historical, and many parts of them are mangled and mutilated

but reality is that which continues even when you stop believing, so there is an interesting paradox about faith, when you lose it, reality itself, ie, God, becomes visible to you

The importance of Sunday as the Lord's Day in Catholicism has to do with the day of Jesus' resurrection. He died on a Friday, laid in the tomb on a Saturday, and rose again on a Sunday.

Thus, Jesus fulfills the Mosaic Law, resting from His work on the Sabbath. His resurrection is the beginning of a new creation.

Thus, Catholics worship the Lord on the first day of the new creation, rather than resting on the last day of the old.
