I haven't tried overly hard to convert farmers to Bitcoin, but I have planted seeds in several conversations. I'm a believer that you can't force someone to open their mind to Bitcoin, they have to come when they are ready.

What I have done is sold to beef to Bitcoiners (and accepted Bitcoin as payment). There are many people that did not grow up in a rural area and are just not aware that you can purchase beef directly from a farmer and bypass all the food conglomerate middlemen. Texas Slim is doing good work on that movement with The Beef Initiative.
