Good morning ๐ŸŒ„ #nostr

If we know that consistency is the key to success, how do we keep ourselves consistent?

For me it is a regular negotiation and battle with my mind.

Let's take an example from today.

I don't have very strict training routine, but I still keep doing that regularly. Now I know that my last training was on Sunday, so today would be a great day for a follow up.

But them my mind starts procrastinating, suggesting that maybe it is not the right day or let's do that later today, etc.

I have one part of me telling, I want to do it, but another suggesting not and builds this uncomfortable feeling. When this starts to happen, I already know that this is it, this is a trickstery of my mind, I just need to shut it down and do it. Something just clicks inside me.

The same concept I apply in other areas of my life. When I start feeling this trickstery of my mind, I know that this is it, this is the thing, I must do it for own good and success ๐Ÿ’ช

In the end, I am glad I did my training and went to a run ๐Ÿƒ and some other exercises.

The best win we can achieve today, is a win over ourselves!

#gm Yup, awareness is key. We all have similar struggles. My method is that I created a mental whitelist for things I have defined essential or beneficial, and once I committed to one at a time, I was slowly able to make a habit of ignoring any kind of thoughts of not doing them, I purposefully ignored or opposed any thoughts procrastination, delaying, indecisiveness, etc. It's not easy, but since consistency and repetition makes it easier, I think it's naturally good to start with physical activities and from that ability, and try with other, perhaps work related.

Appreciate for sharing ๐Ÿ™. Is mental whitelist is something as a pomodoro technique, where you dedicate a time for a specific task / thing and try to focus only on that one thing?
