What if what I want to say was better expressed by someone else on another platform? I'd argue think both approaches bring value to the nostr
Then share it and say in your own words why it is meaningful to you. Both can have value, but I’m saying one is better than the other. Of course this is my opinion. Everyone can think what they want. I don’t want my feed filled with unoriginal content that is probably just being posted to get zaps. Give me originality, or get off my feed.
The more you link, the less you think. I never follow anyone that just links me to stuff other people have made, just as I never listen to anyone who just repeats what other people have said. If your page only contains links to other people's memes, you have failed as a human being. You have become a photocopy of a human being who photocopies other photocopies.
