GM 🌞 A few thoughts on #censorship: I partially understand why disordered eating is a very heavily censored subject on social media - bc pro-ana people are icky - but how do we heal a wound that cannot reliably be discussed?
I made a post yesterday about my recovery from chronic under-eating, and I felt like I had to choose my words very carefully to not attract the red flag from #TikTok. So far, so good, but it’s always interesting to me when whole topics (eating disorder, suicide, sexual assault, war, etc) are considered too dangerous to discuss. Maybe they’re just too hard to moderate so censorship-via-keyword-flag is a result of laziness at scale? Haha. Idk. Censorship is funny. Thoughts?
