I don't understand the point of this. Is it just to discourage lurkers?
It's just one item on my checklist of things to do which includes things like "optics" and acting in good faith.
I understand your reasoning, I just don't understand the reason for the "feature" existing at all. What is the motivation for a person to not want want people to see their posts if they aren't logged in?
I guess in their mind, it's like they're on the other side of airport security or something? They assume that a person has been "vetted" if their account hasn't been banned?
I'd assume they feel some comfort in thinking their not being scraped automatically or without some sort of log.
Real people though should be the leased of their worries.
Maybe I'm wrong but can't help but think ignorant people asked for it and the devs were like sure whatever just don't leave.
Either way respecting the feature in a bridge is probably good idea. People shall to be connected.
