I prefer to focus on things I can influence and after many years I've come to realise that I have very little influence outside of my immediate surrounding. Meaning, I can only try to secure the future for myself, the people I love and those important to me. Everything else is beyond my control (even orange pilling people who are resilient to pills. Eventually you have to let them go to do their thing even if that hurts.

So the best way to secure your freedom is to focus your time and energy on yourself, your stack and the people you love.
