For YEARS Buzz Aldrin has been telling people to their faces that the moon landing was faked, and people will STILL laugh it off and keep telling themselves it happened.
People cannot bear to admit to themselves that they were lied to on such a grand scale, or that there are powerful manipulators so shameless that they will fabricate a story that big without a second thought.
The most obvious sign is punching Sibrel for hounding him to swear on a bible.
That's not how you react if you're not covering something up.
People have lost all ability to critical thinking. Just start the sentence "The moon landing was.." and they will stop you mid sentence and ridicule you.
So, more correctly they are doing anything to hide and shield them selves from reality.
A lot of it comes down to ego and identity.
Murica was great when we landed on the moon, "won" two world wars & the cold war, etc
I've seen this the most in gen x- they all still seem to believe the nasa lies when they see themselves as skeptical and always questioning authority
