History records that the Temple of Yahweh was destroyed twice centuries apart by the Babylonians and the Romans ON THE SAME EXACT DATE.

Is that a sign of divine judgment, or just an interesting coinkydink?

I’ve never heard that. Super interesting

#TIL also that there is a 10 million gallon cistern beneath the Temple Mount in Jerusalem 😯

You left me hanging so I looked it up. I knew who did the destroying each time, and the strength of prophecy leading up to it, but I hadn't realised it was the same date in the Hebrew calendar - the 9th of Av.

"The First Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar on the 9th of Av, which corresponds to July 587 BC according to the Hebrew calendar. This date is based on the historical and biblical records that align with the summer month of Tammuz, as recorded in Jeremiah 52:6, and is supported by archaeological evidence.

The subsequent Second Temple was destroyed by the forces of Titus and Vespasian on the 9th of Av in the year 70 CE.

This date is a significant day in the Jewish calendar, marking the destruction of both the First and Second Temples, which, according to Jewish tradition, occurred on the same day on the Hebrew calendar."
