Is that in their Ledger Live application? Sparrow wallet has the benefit of being open source and it has great self custody and privacy features.
Discussion
Yeah it’s considered an “experimental feature” in ledger live application for now. Unfortunately not much documentation on it.
I’ve never used Sparrow. Do you recommend sending my BTC to a new sparrow wallet and then still use my ledger nano as my signing device?
Sparrow is a tool to use the HW wallet. I see no need to move the funds on the HW wallet?
Correct. Any funds that are on the Ledger will also show up in Sparrow. No need to create a whole new wallet. Your device just signs transactions.
Ah gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. I may try it out
Learning how to use a ledger without Ledger Live was actually chapter of my workshop I gave a friend.
Lessons one was making a wallet, resetting the ledger with 3 wrong pins and load the same wallet ;)
Nice! Good lesson. Ledger live has an app you can download on your device called recovery check to make sure you know how to restore from the seed. Instead of doing the invalid pins.
Haven’t tried it yet, but read about it.
I love the private keys for my ledger wallet. Some of the words are pretty funny.
