I posted this squirrel photo in identical form on Rednote / 小纒书 and it still got more engagement, despite being an identical post on both platforms, and despite me having more than twice as many followers on nostr.

The snowy car pic I posted after the squirrel was a similar experiment, with fitting hashtags for each platform instead of a purely identical post, and it also got more engagement on rednote.

The same applies for everything so far. I always get way more engagement on rednote. We'll see if it lasts.

I still get little to no engagement on nostr despite being on nostr for over a year, with this npub having thousands of regular posts, hundreds of NIP-54 wiki entries, some NIP-23 articles, music edits I've done, videos, who knows how many hours grinding on Primal trending feeds and the asknostr hashtag.

The only people who seem to get engagement on nostr are spammers, people who do shit like add the asknostr hashtag for no reason to their meme posts. Meanwhile, I actually could use mentioning the asknostr hashtag as a reason to add it here, but instead I remembered to mention it without adding it, since I don't actually have a question.

Nostr users so far are too dumb to notice me contributing at a higher quality level and boost me past the level of the pure-spam-quality engagement farmers that are at the top of Primal trending feeds every fucking day.

I'll try to build up my Rednote account to the point where it has so many followers and consistently gets so much engagement, I can use it to lead people to nostr. I'm pretty sure that won't be allowed, and this engagement I'm getting won't last long. But it's worth a try.

This demaster of Under The Bridge has 4 likes on Rednote, 2 on nostr - although I did forget to include any hashtags on nostr

Interesting concept to advertise Nostr on redNote.

It can't be more fun, I'm sure.

It's hard to "like" your post because then I will be calling Nostr users dumb. :-D you have a way of creating Catch-22 notes which is maybe on purpose, and I'm too dumb to understand the level of humor.

Nostr users so far are pretty dumb. Telling the truth really shouldn't be so easily confused with humor.

HAH ok gave me a chuckle with that one

It's not funny.

This is the Primal 24hr trending feed right now.

To get to one post by someone who probably doesn't give a fuck about Digit, you have to scroll past all these people who definitely don't, who have been elevated to positions of clout by the fucking people here:

ODELL

Jack Mallers

MAV21

Lyn Alden

walker

HODL

calle

Gigi

Then you finally get to someone named Solo Satoshi who I've never interacted with before so they may or may not give a fuck about Digit

Then after scrolling past that you finally get to nostr:npub1k7vkcxp7qdkly7qzj3dcpw7u3v9lt9cmvcs6s6ln26wrxggh7p7su3c04l who I suspect might give a fuck about Digit based on our interactions

Then you get Ser Sleepy, who has done more than anyone to show he doesn't give a fuck about not only Digit, but anything at all; then Derek Ross, who has me muted and does not give a fuck about Digit; then Noshole, who does not seem to give a fuck about Digit; then finally you get another possible fuck-giver with Will, but have you gotten to one person who definitely gives a fuck? Nope. 3 fucking people who MIGHT give a fuck, and ZERO PEOPLE WHO CLEARLY REALLY DO, is all you get after scrolling past 11 people who clearly don't.

Nostr users are seriously a fucking dumb crowd right now and it sucks. Keep laughing and die.

Not one mention of Gaza in that whole fucking screenshot, and you think it's funny how fucking dumb this place is?

Ohhhh... I did see the primal trending feed yesterday when I tried to onboard someone who is an iPhone user. It is very Bitcoin centric which is a plus for some, and not so much for others. I don't see that in other clients.

I was thinking about this the other day. The celebrities are a jumping off point. I think they know that and they can't love all of us. Some do a really good job like Jeff.

For example, my journey started by following Jack, and then finding people with responses to him..and then I slowly moved up the trunk of the tree to the smaller branches to the leaves.

So the celebrities are like the germinating seed of this tree of finding people with interests like me. I especially like this tree that started with Nostr :-) but it's also my first social media so I am biased.

First one huh? That's pretty cool
