The freeze is gone now and the #snow❄ is supposed to be here today. It's trying right now but not doing much as they called for up to 3" by light but we have just over an inch now. I checked on the greenhouse yesterday and found it did get rather cold but the heat tape did the trick on a couple of the rows under the row cover.
I prepped the snowblower for the workout it might get today and got things covered around the farm against the snow. This front side of the storm is really light and dry snow so it's not bad, I'm concerned if the rest ends up wet and heavy. The neurosis of the El Nino is pretty blatant this year. I'll have to decide when will be best to run the snowblower around the farm, depending on the snowfall today.
The boys played on the creek again before the ice begins the rapid melt as the temps rise. It's rare we get the whole thing frozen like this so I wanted them to make sure to enjoy it while they could. Tonight R has his first wrestling practice of the season which he is excited for.
